Without further ado, we decided to support the local people with a donation to the "Bündnis Entwicklung Hilft" and "Aktion Deutschland Hilft".

was carried out by ECOVADIS.

In the evaluation we received a gold medal again! Now for the fourth time in a row. Only 5 percent of all over 90,000 evaluated companies receive this award.

After successfully analyzing the drinking water from our pipes in an accredited drinking water laboratory, we decided to use a water dispenser with UV technology and a water filter.

In addition to the always avaiable drinking water, the big advantage is a CO2 saving compared to supplying water bottles / boxes. Our consumption results in a remarkable saving of almost 2 tons of CO2 per year. This corresponds to the average consumption of a car with a mileage of 10,000 km.

Certainly only a small contribution to reducing CO2 consumption, but easy, quick and effective to implement.

Food and hygiene articles were donated, which are brought to the war region with aid transports from the Bochum-Donezk Society.

In this way we hope to be able to alleviate at least a little the suffering of the people in Ukraine.

Most of our diesel vehicles have been replaced by hybrid vehicles. In addition, the DKV Card Climate is used for all vehicles.

In cooperation with DKV and myclimate.org, our CO2 emissions are 100% compensated by supporting climate protection projects.

For the third time in a row, the SDU was able to achieve the classification "Gold" in the EcoVadis CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) rating. In doing so, we continue to confirm our level of performance regarding the environment, labor and human rights, business ethics and sustainable procurement.

We have achieved noticeable successes, particularly in the area of reducing CO2 consumption through our company.

By converting the entire lighting to LED lamps, power consumption has been significantly reduced. In addition, from 01.01.2021 we will only receive green electricity or renewable energy from a hydropower plant in Norway.

In the course of the first quarter of 2021, charging stations for hybrid / electric vehicles will be installed on the premises of our main site in Bochum. In the coming months, our company vehicle fleet will gradually be converted to this type of vehicle.

We have been supporting the environmental initiative Plant for the planet since 2019. Also since 2019, our parcel shipping by our logistics partner has been 100% climate-neutral.

Since 2005, FMB – Supplier Fair for Mechanical Engineering has been bringing engineers, developers and buyers together in a goal-oriented manner, presenting the entire spectrum of the supplier industry for mechanical engineering and plant construction, including related services.
